FastNext is owned by Internet and Software Services Ltd., and is based on the island of Jersey, in the UK.
Company and Services
FastNext offers an array of hosting packages that are tailored to different users across the spectrum of web hosting requirements. There is basic shared hosting, VPS options for those who want to have more control and dedicated hosting for ultimate flexibility.
Disk space varies from 10GB to 25GB, depending on the package – all servers run Linux. Servers are RAID protected and you can choose between a Plesk or cPanel/WHM control panel and there is plenty of pre-installed software bundled in.
An extra feature that FastNext offers its customers is website design. There is a basic five-page design package and then extra pages can be added for an additional cost per page. The price includes two revisions and they don’t use templates so there should be a decent level of individuality to your site.
FastNext backs up data daily, with each server having at least 500GB of backup storage. There is also a weekly backup via a private network connection that doesn’t impinge on live customer traffic to websites. However, the company claims that this is more of a formality than a requirement as each shared hosting server has four hard drives and can survive two hard drive failures.
The stated aim of FastNext is to make web hosting as affordable as possible whilst achieving high levels of customer service. It has received a number of industry awards over the years for performance and service.
Server Location
The Fast Next data centre is in Clifton, New Jersey, which is situated about 14 miles from New York City.
