In 2003, businessmen Jonathan Brealey and Tim Beresford teamed up and founded Heart Internet. Both Brealey and Beresford had significant experience in the UK hosting and domain name registration industries, having once owned 123Reg and WebFusion. These were sold to GX Networks in 2000, paving the way for them to start Heart Internet.

Heart Internet focus is on low cost, high value web hosting. It has successfully targeted its packages to web designers and developers, as well as small business and home users. It offers shared and dedicated servers hosting in addition to its reseller package.

Heart Internet offers three shared hosting packages in addition to dedicated server and reseller solutions. The shared packages vary according to disk size, data transfer allowance, email accounts and various other options and features. Unlimited disk space is available with the top end of the range. Heart also offers a 30 day money back guarantee. Technical support staff can be contacted online or by telephone and you will also find a useful knowledge base resource on its website.

Heart Internet is a privately held, limited company. It is based in Nottingham, in the middle of England. All sales and administration functions are carried out in its Nottingham office.

Although Heart Internet has been going for just five years its commitment to providing low cost hosting has made it an award winning company. In the 2007 PC Pro Awards the Company was rated as “highly commended” in the Web Host category. Heart has also won Web Host Directory’s Number one Reseller Host Provider award three times.

I signed up for a reseller package with Heart Internet when I needed affordable hosting for multiple domains and this was by far the best value option I could find. The reseller package offers hosting for unlimited domains and unlimited bandwidth, I assumed there was a catch but I’m yet to find it! The interface is simple to use and there is a wealth of tools, features & scripts available making life very simple for newbies or seasoned pro’s alike. For example Worpress can be installed in just 2 clicks. I’ve heard some people moan about the customer support at Heart Internet, but I haven’t used it yet as I’ve not had any problems with the service.
