HostShop-SK Introduction
HostShop-SK is a Slovakian web hosting company. Founded in 2010, they offer a variety of low cost shared web hosting plans, as well as web development services and domain registrations.
Services and Specializations
HostShop-SK offers four different levels of shared hosting. They differ based on the amount of email storage space and FTP space you’re allotted.
All four plans include unlimited email accounts and subdomains. They also include PHP 5, cron, and mod_rewrite.
Their top three hosting plans include unlimited data transfer, support for SSL, and CGI access. They also include databases. The bottom of the three plans provides 10 databases and the other two are unlimited.
Only the two two hosting plans include access to error and access logs.
HostShop-SK also offers bare-bones plan called “Mini.” It has a limit of 30 GB of data transfer per month. It also doesn’t come with secure FTP access. In addition, it includes no database access. It’s very inexpensive, however, and ideal for someone who just needs a simple HTML web presence.
For domain registrations, they offer the .sk, .eu, .cz country code top-level domains.
Infrastructure and Datacenter
HostShop-SK’s datacenter is equipped with RAID 1 disk array and is connected to the Internet via two independent ISPs. They have redundancies built into every systems to maintain optimal uptime. All their servers use either Linux or FreeBSD. The server units are connected to independent glycolic cooling circuits, and the data center uses certified chemical gas fire extinguishers. The whole area is monitored by CCTV and guarded 24/7.
All servers are connected to the Czech Republic with two 1 Gbps connections. They all have one 1 Gbps connection to the wider internet.

Billing and Payment Policies
Payment must be made in advance. HostShop-SK accepts credit card payments and bank transfers.
If prices change, HostShop-SK will notify you at least 30 days before the new pricing takes effect.
To cancel your service, you must request account cancellation in writing to their mailing address or electronically to their support email address at least two months before your account will expire.
If your account is cancelled for nonpayment and you wish to restart service, they charge a restart fee.
