They also provide:
- DIY website builders
- Marketing services
- And customer support in 7 languages.
But how is the quality of their services? And who are they best suited for? Let’s find out.
About One.com
One.com claims they are Europe’s leading domain name registrar. They state that they currently serve over 1.5 million customers.
They offer user-friendly hosting geared towards non-geeks. But before deciding, you should understand the basic hosting plans One.com offers.
Hosting Types and Plans
One.com offers shared and WordPress hosting. Let’s look at shared hosting first.
Shared Web Hosting
For beginners: the entry-level “Starter” plan is a good choice for basic websites and blogs, as well as those needing email-only hosting.
For others: the mid-range “Professional Plus” plan is designed for those with more dynamic websites and significant traffic. It’s suitable for average small businesses.
Both plans come with unlimited bandwidth and unlimited email accounts.
Comparison of One.com Shared Hosting Plans
Here’s a quick view of how the plans compare.
Shared Hosting Features | Starter | Professional Plus |
---|---|---|
Storage (SSD) | 25 GB | 200 GB |
RAM | 512 MB | 2 GB |
CPU | 1 x CPU | 4 x CPU |
Websites | Single | Multiple |
SSL Certificate included? | ✓ | ✓ |
PHP access? | ✓ | ✓ |
FTP/SFTP access? | ✓ | ✓ |
SSH access? | ✗ | ✓ |
Backups included? | ✗ | ✓ |
Note: Although backup and restore are not included in the Starter plan, you can add it as a paid option when checking out.
WordPress Web Hosting
Those who have built their websites using WordPress can choose from the three WordPress-specific web hosting packages.
The WordPress plans are slightly more expensive than the general, all-purpose web hosting plans, but you get helpful extras, such as
An SSL certificate
Support for an unlimited number of WordPress sites
Dedicated RAM and disk space allocations
Secured access to your site
Multiple databases
Backup and Restore services
Unlimited email accounts.
Understanding Starting Prices vs Renewal Prices
Like many web hosts, One.com offers an introductory starting price which lasts only for the initial term you choose to sign up for.
When this term is over, your plan will renew at the regular price, which is roughly double the introductory price.
Here’s a table of how these prices compare.
WordPress Plans | Starting price | Renewal price |
---|---|---|
Plus WordPress | $3.49/mo | $6.99/mo |
Business WordPress | $6.84/mo | $13.68/mo |
Premium WordPress | $9.09/mo | $18.18/mo |
Email Hosting
If you need email-only hosting, but the entry-level web hosting plan isn’t quite what you are looking for, then check out One.com’s three email-hosting plans.
The option that is best for you depends on:
How many domain names you are using
How much storage you want for your data.
Unlimited Email Accounts
You can get an unlimited number of email accounts with a domain hosted by One.com.
All plans offer unlimited bandwidth and email.
Such plans come with bonuses like antivirus and spam filters, and collaboration tools like a calendar and address book.
IMAP and POP3 Supported
One.com supports both the IMAP and POP3 protocols, so you should be able to use the email client of your choice to access your email.
Regardless of which option you choose, you will receive unlimited bandwidth.
Business Hosting
One.com offers several plans that are suitable for businesses.
The shared Professional Plus Plan
The Plus WordPress, Business WordPress, and Premium WordPress plans.
You’ll get extra features like SSH access and backup/restoration services.
For most small businesses, these plans will be sufficient.

One.com is not suitable for company who needs long term website. They have unprofessional staff and not able to manage customer account. They even don’t know – how to allow access to the website for specific IP.
Unprofessional company. I lost lots of time with them. Unhappy customer. Really unprofessional company.

We had a really bad experience with One.com. E-mail accounts full of spam, not easy to use, been hard to get hold on service and impossible to end the agreement. They also been sending vouchers to an e-mail we have told we don’t check or use. Bad in every aspect
Features and Add-Ons
Now let’s take a look at what’s included in the plans and what add-ons are available.
SSL Certificates
By default, One.com issues an SSL certificate for each domain you host with them.
SSL certificates are a key component of securing your site and improving your site’s search engine results rankings.
Website and Online Store Builders
One.com offers two website builders: one for regular sites and one for online stores.
You can choose from a variety of pre-designed sites – like those pictured below. Then you’ll swap out the placeholder text and images with your own.

Note that the online store builder gives you two options: build it on One.com’s platform or build a store using WordPress.
Control Panel
When managing the server instance that hosts your website, you will do so using a One.com custom-built control panel.
You can access this control panel by logging in.
After One.com verifies your credentials, you are automatically redirected to the dashboard, which doubles as your control panel.
User-Friendly
The feature set and functionality offered by One.com’s control panel is relatively limited compared to that of the more popular cPanel.
But the upside is that One.com’s option is easier to use and friendlier toward those who are just getting started with website management.

Control Panel Features
From the One.com control panel, you can do things like:
Signing up with One.com is easy.
- Manage your email accounts
- Create a website using the Website Builder
- Install WordPress with the one-click installer
- Manage your files and your databases
- Check the statistics One.com has gathered about your website
- Upgrade your hosting package.
- Activate “Backup & Restore” for your website
- Activate SiteLock – a third-party security app
- Activate the Search Engine Optimizer tool
Additional Details
The control panel shows most (if not all) of the features offered by One.com. However, if you don’t have access to that product or feature, you’ll see a green banner above the link that says Not Activated.
One.com hosting plans come with a 15-day money-back guarantee.
If you have a free trial, the banner will indicate how many days left you have with the trial.
The following areas are not linked directly from the control panel, but they are accessible from a hide-and-show menu accessible from the control panel:
- Owner Details
- Subscription
- Password
- Guides and FAQ
- Chat Support.
Secure Your Site With SiteLock
At checkout or from your control panel you can add on two security products: SiteLock Find or SiteLock Fix.
The difference is the latter not only finds, but fixes “malicious files” that it finds in your webspace.
Local Business Listings
Businesses with a fixed location (or locations) can get listed in directories by selecting the Uberall option in the control panel.
Local business listings are critical for local SEO.

Microsoft 365
In addition to domain names and web hosting plans, One.com sells subscriptions to Microsoft’s Office 365 product.

Buying a One.com Hosting Plan
Signing up with One.com is an easy process.
Unlike many of its competitors, One.com clearly shows how much you will pay with the introductory pricing and how much you will pay during your second year (and beyond) of web hosting.

Backups :- They offer daily backups , and you can ask them for backups files for any given day Note:- there is no option for backups with in control panel. WordPress :- They offer 1 click WordPress installation, and there support is knowledgeable about WordPress so you will face no problems. Control Panel :- There control panel is different looking from others , it features tile like options, there cPanel offers limited control as compared to other webhostings.
Setting Up :- This is the worst part 🙁 when you signup , you have to print document then sign it and then you need to fax that document in order to get you account going. Last notes :- Best and cheap webhositng, they are big company and are around for years now.so if you are starting out new and you are short on cash then this web-hosting is best for you.
