WebHostingPad Introduction
Visit the WebHostingPad website and you will notice that it specialises in low price shared web hosting, although it does also offer Reseller/VPS hosting. The company was formed in 2005.
There appears to be little information on their site regarding who owns it. WebHostingPad’s corporate office is based in Rolling Meadows, IL in the US and its servers in Chicago,IL.

WebHostingPad Hosting Plans
There are two shared web hosting plans at WebHostingPad, the Power Plan and the Power Plan Plus. Each provide unlimited hosting space and unmetered monthly bandwidth. Customers can also host unlimited domains, email accounts and MySQL databases.
The Power Plan Plus also provides an SSL certificate, SSH access, advanced spam filter and web stats, a business directory listing and an advanced security scan.
The two shared hosting plans are priced according to how long you sign up for. You can enter into agreements ranging from one year to five years in length.
WebHostingPad has partnered with another web hosting company, VPSDepot, to provide three Reseller/VPS plans to choose from.
- The beginner plan provides 100 GB disk space, 100 GB of monthly bandwidth, 128 MB of guaranteed memory and one dedicated IP address.
- The Professional VPS plan gives 50 Gb of disk space, unlimited bandwidth, 256 MB guaranteed memory and 512 MB of burstable memory, and two dedicated IPs.
- The third Premium plan is similar to the Professional plan but with 100 GB of disk space, 512 MB guaranteed memory and 2 GB burstable memory.
WebHostingPad also offers an ultra-low cost email only service which provides you with unlimited email accounts and your own domain name. The service supports major smartphones (including BlackBerry) and includes up to 1GB of storage space per mailbox.

Who’s support is stellar. I have asked for help with technical issues on many occasions. Their response time is never more than a day, almost always within an hour, and often it’s almost a live chat.
My favorite feature of WHP is the ability to host unlimited sub-domains. I can run my personal and business sites, and my wife’s personal and business sites — all on one hosting account. WHP makes it easy and inexpensive. I switched to WHP from another host because the other one did not allow sub-domains.

I left a host host that I liked a lot, great price $1.99 and super support – but they have serious server issues for several days. I dreaded switching hosts. I picked Web Hosting Pad because they have unlimited hosting packages, complete back end set-up and at a crazy price, $1.99 mo.
Also based on their site – which has a very professional presentation. Still I was worried, but signed a contract anyway – something I’ve never done before and avoid. My great dread was eased and turned to pleased with my decision to go with Web Hosting Pad.
Any initial issues/concerns were immediately and actively addressed. Because of the previous hosts server issues, it took a large effort and a couple of days to transfer my two networks of sites. Tech support worked patiently and diligently on my behalf.
Any additional issues I presented were handled within moments by customer support and tech support. I am a nightmare for poor customer service – very important to me, a deal breaker. Web Hosting Pad has excelled and exceeded my expectations. I am very grateful for their communication and work – which has resulted in my sites running perfectly, and confidence that I chose well.

WebHostingPad Uptime/Downtime
WebHostingPad boast s99.9% uptime, although it does not publish any statistics to back the claim up. It does provide a guarantee and will reimburse customers for any downtime (pro-rata).
The WebHostingPad N+1 data center is located in Chicago with 24/7 onsite security and HVAC ventilation systems. The site also carries 48 hours of generator fuel to ensure it stays up in the event of a power cut. This UPS is also backed up by agreements with local fuel providers.
The data center is backed up on a weekly basis, but WebHostingPad also provides free additional backup tools for your site.
WebHostingPad Support
WebHostingPad has a 24/7 US based support team, with live chat, email and telephone support all available. The support centre page on the website also provides access to the Kayako help desk where you can submit a support ticket.
There is also a large knowledge base which you can consult for advice and user guides. There is a news page for company announcements, but it doesn’t show any at the time of writing.
The WebHostingPad Facebook page and Twitter accounts appear fairly active, but most users with queries are redirected to the other support channels. Staff do post announcements and other news related articles up to keep their followers up to date.
